Privacy Policy for HaircutLog

HaircutLog is a simple personal app for logging haircut dates and photos, and for finding nearby hair salons.

What data the app collects

• Account information: an email address, or basic profile info (name, email) if you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Photos you choose to add (from your camera or photo library) when logging a haircut.
• Dates you assign to each haircut entry.
• Approximate location, only when you use the "Nearby Salons" feature, to find hair salons near you.

How your data is stored

HaircutLog uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) manages sign-in and stores your account identifier (email address).
• Firebase Firestore (Google) stores your haircut dates, associated with your account.
• Cloudinary stores the photos you upload.
• Google Places API receives your device's approximate location, only when you open the Nearby Salons tab, to return a list of nearby salons. This location is not stored by HaircutLog.

Your haircut data is only accessible to your own account — other users of the app cannot see it. As the developer, we do not access, view, or share individual users' photos or haircut data as part of normal operation.

Data sharing

HaircutLog does not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Data is only sent to the service providers listed above (Google Firebase, Cloudinary, Google Places), which process it on our behalf to make the app work. No analytics or advertising trackers are used.

Data deletion

You can delete any individual haircut entry at any time within the app. You can also permanently delete your entire account and all associated haircut data at any time via Account (gear icon) → Delete Account inside the app.
